VIP PROTECTION BUDGET

DEPUTY Minister of Police Cassel Mathale has defended the VIP Protection Service budget as taking priority over the budget of the Hawks, adding that in addition to security for politicians, the service is also provided for the judiciary, foreign dignatories and for major events hosted by South Africa. This was after the EFF and DA on Thursday questioned the slashing of the budget of the Hawks by millions of rand when the VIP Protection Services budget was not severely cut.
