SAMSUNG TO MAKE CHIPS FOR VOLKSWAGEN

Samsung Electronics revealed on Tuesday new auto chips targeting demand for advanced chips in cars. It includes one mounted in Volkswagen’s infotainment system developed by LG Electronics. Demand was rising for “hi-tech” automotive chips that could handle more entertainment consumption and increased electrical components in cars, Samsung said. It said it planned to actively respond to the growing demand.
