SOCCER STARS

More than 300 junior and senior primary school pupils from Star College will participate in an international soccer tournament next week.

The tournament will be hosted at the school in Westville on May 21 from 8am.

All Star Colleges in the different provinces and neighbouring countries, such as Mozambique, will participate in these matches in the under-11 and under-13 divisions.

An added attraction will be the presence of former soccer stars such as

Patson Banda, String Naicker, Selvanathan Reddy, Faizel Ebrahim and Daya Maistry.

There is a full programme with the opening ceremony and matches starting at 8am and a concert in the evening. The awards ceremony is at 5pm.

There will be lots of food, fun and games for the kids. Entry is free.
